Why Fusion?
Australia needs bold leadership to transition to a low-carbon economy now. We can become a clean energy powerhouse while ensuring a just transition for workers, but we have to move fast to make up for lost time.
Voters have been let down by a stagnant government caught in one rort after another. I value evidence, expert advice and community voices, and am appalled by autocratic behaviour like ministerial interference in research funding.
I entered politics to fight for:
- lifelong education
- research and health care to extend our healthy lifespan
- intelligent regulation of new technology to protect citizens while letting society flourish
I am shocked at the need to address fundamental matters like climate action and integrity in government, but I remain excited as ever about the possibilities for the future.
