G'day everyone,
I’m Imelda Adamson Agars, and I’m running for the Senate with the Fusion Party Australia Coalition because I believe in leaving our nation, our home, in a better place for future generations. I want tomorrow to be filled with hope and opportunity—today's actions should pave the way for many more tomorrows.
While I may not live forever, I am dedicated to ensuring that Australia—and particularly South Australia—thrives during my time here. I have deep roots in this beautiful state. From the Eyre Peninsula, where my father was born, to the Mid North, where my mother grew up, and the stunning landscapes of the Yorke Peninsula, Riverland, and the Mighty Murray Mallee. I spent my childhood exploring the Flinders Ranges, climbing gum trees and appreciating the incredible natural beauty around me.
My vision is clear: I want these regions to enjoy the same opportunities as the big cities. We need working infrastructure, reliable internet connectivity, accessible childcare, quality education, vibrant tourism, and support for local businesses. Strong local government is essential, and I will work tirelessly to ensure that our communities receive the resources they deserve.
I promise to be a Senate representative who prioritises thoughtful legislation—robust, compassionate, and sustainable. I won’t rush bills through just to make a portfolio look good or to cover up weaknesses that need more discussion. I am committed to being your deliberate and conscientious Senator.
You’ll see me at local races, cricket matches, and football games. I want to be part of your community. Invite me to your annual AGM, or ask me to drive along those country roads and outback tracks—yes, the ones full of potholes!
I will do it, because I believe that advocating for regional funding with frontline experience under my belt, and a genuine understanding of our needs, will deliver results.
Together, let’s build a future where every corner of South Australia can thrive. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to working with you to make a difference.
