The Fusion Party of Australia is outraged at yesterday's Full Bench Federal Court decision to dismiss the case of young Australians seeking to ensure that their rights are considered by the Commonwealth in development approvals.
The decision of the Federal Court throws away the rights of future generations and now only a High Court Appeal can reinstate these rights. The Fusion Party stands for emergency climate change action and the rights of future Australians to live in a world not ravaged by climate change extremes.
Fusion party candidates will establish an Australian Bill of Rights and legislate for the inclusion of the rights of future generations to live in a natural world that is not degraded by current generations.
The Fusion Party calls on the Federal Courts to publish the judgment to allow legislators across the county to fix the legal problem of intergenerational equity and to reverse their decision on common law grounds.
