The upcoming Annual General Meeting of Fusion Political Party is held in accordance with the constitution of the association and with the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012.

If you cannot attend, please nominate another Fusion member as your proxy. They will be able to vote on motions on your behalf. Please ensure your proxy knows that they will be voting on your behalf!

Substance of Motions

1. Confirmation of AGM minutes

"That the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting of Fusion Political Party held on 19 October 2025 and the Special General Meeting held on 7 June 2026, as made available to all members, be confirmed as a true and correct record of the meeting(s)."

2. Accept Financial Statements

"That the Statement of Accounts for the financial year ending 31 July 2026 be approved."

Statement of Accounts to be presented at Annual General Meeting.

3. Accept Returning Officer for the Handling of Ballots

"That the Returning Officer (as identified to the attendees at the meeting) is endorsed to handle ballots and communicate voting outcomes."

Commitee Elections

The following positions are up for election:

👤 President

Chair of the National Executive Committee and AGM, permanent spokesperson for the party. 

👤 Secretary (and deputy)

Maintain the official membership, handle official correspondence, organise the AGM

👤 Convener (and deputy)

Backup chair of the National Executive Committee, permanent spokesperson for the party. 

👤 National Campaigns Coordinator (and deputy)

Support and coordinate campaigns run by the party and its branches, chair of the National Campaigns committee, permanent spokesperson for the party. 

👤 National Registration Coordinator (previously Registered Officer)

Handle official correspondence with the AEC, support the party to complete AEC audits. 

👥 Branch Representatives

Represent the abiding values of the branch organisations in all Committee discussions and decisions.
Note: If your branch has an active comittee of its own, a successful election at the Fusion AGM is subject to final endorsement according to any branch processes.

👥 Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC) ×5

Resolve internal disputes within the party, rule on constitutional interpretations, handle serious disciplinary matters involving members

Committee Elections

Election of Committee members requires a secret ballot, and the option to "seek further candidates". Ballots will be handled by Returning Officer, if the AGM assents to the pertinent motion. Otherwise, to make the process easier, elections will be conducted using a secure online platform for a 2 week period following the AGM.

Nominations will be accepted up to 4pm (AEDT), Saturday the 12th September. All Nominees will have the opportunity to address members at the AGM. First time Nominees are expected to address members.
