Fusion is heading into only its second Federal election, and we’ve already grown! Recently, we welcomed aboard Democracy First (another new political party) and the Australian Progressives. With the addition of these like-minded peers to our coalition, we will be heading into the next election with 24 candidates across both the House of Representatives and the Senate. We’ve also had a slight name change on the ballot, but don’t worry Antony Green - we’re still keeping the word salad that you loved!

So, who is Fusion? We are the grassroot alternative to the two party system that has entrenched itself in Australian politics. Unlike parties like the Greens, we are an evidence-based party that is positioning itself as a collaborative, rather than obstructionist, force. We seek to guide legislation using measured, sensible policy that genuinely passes the pub test. The parties that have come together to form Fusion all had their own platforms that have been discussed, debated, and yes, sometimes even argued, to form the strong policy platform that supports Fusion today. Many experts from a wide range of fields have helped shape policy to be so thorough that even the other parties couldn’t help but borrow them! (I don’t think our copyright reforms would allow us to say ‘steal’).
We’ve got huge plans, and we need your help to achieve them. Our opposition is formidable, with unlimited resources and an entire system they’ve shaped to protect themselves.
