Why are you the most appropriate candidate for the position?
As I said last year: Fusion continues to solidify its place as a large and dynamic organisation - one of only two ideologically comparable parties that has endured since the last election. As we grow, it's crucial that we operate not as a small group centered around a single leader but as a cohesive entity facilitated by effective governance and empowered members. I actively want people to take things on - the less I have to personally oversee the better.
It's been even more a hell of a year than last year, but we have continued to make meaningful progress and I still stand by what was said in my nominations previously: 2024 Nominations
How have you been contributing to Fusion?
During the past year I have worked to increase the sustainability of the party organisation, and to develop the Reclaim policy revamp that was endorsed at the previous AGM.
Volunteering and charitable giving are both down nationwide, while reactionary populism rears its head, making this the most challenging time this party has ever lived through. Nevertheless we have continued to build connections and make allies.

Why are you the most appropriate candidate for the position?
As an impartial member and previous candidate with sound judgement, I believe I am able to fairly espouse the values of the party while maintaining a level of professionalism and communication that encourages respectful discourse and engagement. My ongoing committment to the party and it's principles as well as the previous experience should make me suitable.
How have you been contributing to Fusion?

My backround in security and rail operations both encouraged high levels of communication, where people required clear communcation and all parties are heard. I've also worked in a lot of hospitality spaces and make a point of hearing people out.
Can you describe your alignment with the party's values?
The parties core values of respect and inclusion are fundamental to me, and behaving ethically is simply how I am. I feel strongly for an equitable society and want to reclaim our politics from the current discourse of maximum exploitation of the people and environment.

Why are you the most appropriate candidate for the position?
I believe I am the most appropriate candidate for this position because it matches perfectly with my personal mindset and skills; I am an effective communicator, collaboration with others comes as second nature to me, and the role's key organisational skills (planning, scheduling, post-meeting follow ups, etc) are well suited to me, mirroring tasks that I frequently perform in my studies and personal relationships. I am somebody that can shift effortlessly between detail-focused and wider-perspective mindsets, and whilst it may not equate to professional experience, resource-management/alignment could certainly be described as an extensively pursued interest and hobby of mine. I already habitually monitor the Party's activity out of my own interest, and I take Fusion's potential and my part within it extremely seriously. Plus, on a purely technical side, Google Workspace is practically my second home, and I am fully able to pick up Bitwarden and Loomio for the role's responsibilities.
How have you been contributing to Fusion?
I'm fairly new to Fusion, having only joined about a month ago, so I'm looking to start off strong. I've been working on some policy ideas that I'd love to share with others in my spare time, but I haven't had the chance to get it presentable yet unfortunately! In the meantime, I'm enthusiastic to put my time and effort towards one of these roles.
Tell us about yourself, including info on your education, experience or skills background.
As idealistic as it sounds, I have always dreamed of the opportunity to serve and help my fellow Australians since I was a kid. I've long held a keen interest in politics, and a strong sense of justice that heavily shaped my determination to one day provide everyone with the opportunity, health and prosperity I believe we all deserve. Fittingly, I've grown up in the Capital for most of my life, almost in viewing range of Parliament House, with a family of public servants to boot. Living so close, in proximity and familial connection, to the heart of government certainly influenced me further, exposing me to the events of the times--and as I progressed through high school, I consistently selected subjects like economics, modern history and geography, hoping to gain increased insight into Australia's political and socioeconomic circumstances. I completed my HSC at Canberra Grammar School in 2023 and continued on to study a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Canberra (ongoing), both of which have been instrumental in developing my organisational, communicative and analytical skills. Within my course, I have studied the function of the economy (in an open elective), the nature of beliefs/ideas and how they are propagated, and a suite of varying writing techniques to instill certain feelings and create specific reactions. Additionally, my position at UC allows me to network between like-minded students and hopefully achieve a stronger presence for Fusion amidst my cohort in the ACT. I have continued to voraciously research Australian governance structure, institutions, constitutional law and contemporary political climate at every opportunity alongside my studies, and with my remaining time, I have gained valuable experience in the rapidly evolving (and highly politically relevant) field of Artificial Intelligence, exploring and evaluating their capabilities (or failures) through my work for Outlier AI.
Can you describe your alignment with the party's values?
At first glance, I knew Fusion was the party for me, and further deep dives have only reinforced my intuition. From the intent to use technological advancement to raise the floor of living standards, to the "maximum net freedom" approach to personal liberties and the efficiency-seeking goal for ecological harmony; I could go on and on about how many policy descriptions I have read and felt a resounding familiarity with, striking a mental chord that no other party campaigns have. Fusion is exactly what I've been seeking in Australian politics, and even if it for some reason had not come to exist, I likely would have spent much of my own life trying to establish a near-identical version of it. All of my ideals, values and beliefs align with everything I've read and heard from discussions with party members, and it feels fantastic to have finally found this. I hope we can make the kind of positive difference to this country that future generations will forever be grateful for, and I am immensely thankful for the opportunity to contribute!

Why are you the most appropriate candidate for the position?
Have run in 3 federal elections as a candidate for Fadden and also helped campaign manage two candidates in two council elections on the Gold Coast.

Been a good friend and reviewed policies and brain stormed with people from the party. :-)
Tell us about yourself, including info on your education, experience or skills background.
No formal education. Managed teams of up to 100 people in IT and worked for multinationals such as Oracle, CSC and Accenture. Been a stay at home dad for the past 10 years and been involved in local community groups and politics for the last 7 on the Gold Coast.
Can you describe your alignment with the party's values?
Personally I am socially progressive and being from a tech background believe that we can use technology to create a better life for everyone so have a firm core value in that innovation should be used to benefit all not just for profit. I also believe policy should be developed rationally and thoughtfully to get the best outcome for as many people as possible. Ethics in politics should mean we educate people to bring them a long for the ride it is not about manipulating via marketing to promise simple solutions to complex problems. We should be explaining how the five pillars of society work together and how each play a role in solving problems. To me community, local gov, state gov, federal government and business must all play a part if any solution is going to remain sustainable.
