Greg Sadler is the CEO of Good Ancestors Policy and is on the board of a range of charities including the Alliance to Feed the Earth in Disasters and Effective Altruism Australia. Good Ancestors develops and advocates for policies aimed at solving this century’s most challenging problems.

Good Ancestors works on a range of topics like pandemic prevention, averting catastrophic disasters and the safety of advanced AI systems. Previously, Greg spent 15 years in the Australian Public Service, he holds a BA/LLB(Hons) from ANU and majored in philosophy.

In this talk, Greg will be talking about the regulation and governance of AI systems. The talk will focus on the journey in Australia so far, developments overseas, and possible future policy directions in Australia. Greg will be happy to take questions and discuss the range of topics Good Ancestors works on.
